My current design was put on hold briefly when I discovered that I didn’t have a 3mm 80cm circular needle in my supplies. How did that happen?! Hoping to resume in the next few days after the Postie has been. In the meantime, here is the work in progress.
After a few days trying to work out how to best to attach a zip to the wonderfully soft and airy fabric created by the shadow box pattern and the Creative Focus yarn, I decided to create the illusion of a front opening instead. Let’s face it, how many of us actually undo the zips and buttons on our knitwear (or is that just me?) I also decided to keep it sleeveless, based on the rather warm January we are having so far.
Busy designing a new version of my knitted “biker” jacket. Originally in a basket weave pattern with duplicate stitch and bobble details, this new version is in shadow box pattern knitted in Rowan Creative Focus Worsted. The back is now done and I was so excited about the texture that I had to share.

These three pieces of jewellery have been created in response to a commission for a knitted necklace in grey and cream. I await with interest to see which one she picks. Not sure I could choose between them!
